Wedding FAQ

Here are a list of the questions I seem to get asked most often plus a few more. If you’d like to ask any more, please give me a call at the studio or send an email to me.

Can I see your price list?

Yes, of course. Visit my request a brochure page and I’ll send one off to you.

Are you full time?

A BIG and resounding yes! Being a wedding and portrait photographer is my job. I love it and I take it very seriously.

Are you a professional photographer?

Another big yes! I’m a member of the Professional Photographers Association of Northern Ireland. They only let professional photographers join.

Do you travel?

Another big yes! I love shooting weddings which aren’t local to me. I also don’t charge for fuel.

Are you insured?

Yes. Just like a solicitor or doctor, I carry full professional indemnity insurance.

What happens if your equipment breaks?

I have backup equipment with me at every wedding. This is very important and I have it covered with replacement equipment primed and ready to go in case disaster strikes.

What happens if you’re ill and can’t shoot my wedding?

Thanks to my membership to the PPANI, I have access to Northern Ireland’s best professional photographers. Subject to availability, a replacement is only a phone call away. So even if the worst happens to me, your day will be photographed by another great wedding photographer which will have a similar style to mine.

Do you shoot alone?

Yes. Almost all of my weddings are done by myself. On occasion I will bring in an assistant to help with my gear but it all depends on the time of the year etc. When shooting alone I still find time to do both the boys and the girls preparation shots.

Will you be shooting my wedding?

Yes, you will be getting me, not another photographer working under my company name.

What are your wedding packages?

I have five  bespoke wedding packages starting at £995. To see a copy of my pricing plan, visit my brochure request page and I’ll forward one off to you.

How much is your wedding booking fee?

£200 secures your wedding date in my diary.

Can we meet for a chat before I make my mind up?

Of course. I encourage this as it gives you an opportunity to have a chat with me and see some of my beautiful albums. These chats take place at my studio.

How far should we book in advance?

Typically, as soon as you confirm your wedding day with your reception and church to have the best chance of securing me. Of course, sometimes we can get lucky. As of April 2017, I’m still booking 2017 weddings but my diary is filling up fast. I hate it when I’m already booked but even if I am, I can recommend other great photographers through my association with the PPANI.

I would like you to photograph my wedding. How do I start the process?

Give me a call at the studio or email me to check my availability. If I’m available, I ask you into the studio for a chat and to complete a booking form with payment of your booking fee.

When will my photos be ready for viewing?

Generally, you won’t have to wait more than 2 weeks after your wedding to see your beautiful photos. Usually you see all your photos at a champagne viewing on the big screen at my studio.

When will my album be ready?

Generally four weeks after confirmation of your album order. You have two options. Either you can choose the photos for the album and I can design the album around them or I can choose the photos myself. Before your album is made, you will get to see a digital proof to ensure that you are happy with the design etc.

Do you do destination weddings?

Yes.

Do you also do wedding videography?

No. I recommend the following companies who are amazing at what they do:

Sean from Timeless Productions NI

Lowry from Milltown Digital
